Customer Service/Product Technician

Department: Customer Relations
Location: Perry , FL

The Customer Service and Sales Associate is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department.

Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests.

Produces customer quotations and proposals.

Operates accounting, word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Assists in maintaining and monitoring electronic data for established customers.

Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures.

Works closely with the credit department to resolve disputed credit items.

Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.

Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer service expectations.

Maintains detailed files for documentation.

Creates proposals, letters, quotes, and miscellaneous correspondence.

Answers sales call and provides information as needed.

Serves as liaison with manufacturing, designing, and shipping personnel.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Ability to perform basic math.

  1. to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
